Pat! I don't really understand why you have had to explain anything regarding the fund drive. As usual, I'm out of the loop in what's been going on...I've been trying to do constructive things here rather than hanging around in PC so much. But from what I"ve read, I can only applaud you for installing your own fencing, which was major physical work, and necessary for your pets and your privacy.
I also applaud you for asserting yourself with your slumlord!
He should be kissing your feet for improving his property!
But from the other slumlords I know, they are only interested in the money, and don't care that their renters live in substandard conditions!
