Nope. Feel sorry sometimes for normal people! They just can't multi task with any efficience!! Horrible at trivial pursuit games and jeopardy. Their categories are limited. Not as many interests. We've decided cooperation is much better for us. Susan, an alter, likes clean house, clean car. So we give her time to do that. Another is fascinated by medical stuff, so goes to the doctor..even recently had one carpal tunnel surgery & scheduled the other. Others wouldn't have a blood test without a general anesthesia. Over time some alters have become more dormant..like the angry one. But in an emergency, we know we can call on him for help. It took us years with a good therapist to get organized. But the feeling we can handle life is priceless. None of our friends have any idea we are multiple. They've commented on our wide range of interests, our energy, our understanding, how we always carry thru on what we say we are going to do. No one thinks of us as crazy, having issues, unable to cope. Little do they know, it takes a village! Every alter was born for a reason & contributes to our well being. So tell us when we should be frightened, when a person is not safe. We may not need their insight frequently but when we do we have the resource. Learning cooperation was not easy. We still see our T once a month to handle alters' concerns & keep on track. But I wouldn't eliminated anyone. That's what integration feels like to us. It's like a junk drawer in the kitchen. Don't throw it out cuz some day you may need it. When you do, you are darn glad you have it in the drawer.
