Me too! I didn't have much trouble with weight and Seroquel until I went to 1000 mg. I've been on 1200 mg for 2 years and was 1500 mg for several months this year. But then I was on something that caused some weight loss which I've held, but it doesn't look like it (I think there is something about menopause that can cause fat redistrubiton? Whatever, I need new clothes that are bigger even though my weight is lower). If I lose weight coming off, which is nearly certain since I lost my appetite just lowering to 800 mg and lost 5 lbs in a week that way it will be good. Clozaril apparently can cause a lot of weight gain but my pdoc doesn't think it will. She hasn't seen that and it usually causes gain in people who are not already overweight. And there's the metformin if it does or I don't lose the weight.

The frustrating thing is that my eating is healthy. Weird because I don't feel like cooking, but healthy enough. The worst thing I eat is fig newtons and it's not like I'm eating those constantly. But I'm just on so much Seroquel I don't think it's possible to not have weight issues.

I dread coming off it so much but I do not dread the idea of losing some of the weight. I've been on it for 8 years I think so that's lots of years of gaining on it.

I guess I'll see what happens. I am hoping I get to spend a lot of money on new pants.
