Hello Johaanpatter: Welcome to PsychCentral! I see this is your first post. I'm sorry it has taken a couple of days for you to receive a reply. I presume you've seen a physician. If not, this is really the first step. It would, I presume, be up to the doctor to determine if there is a need for physical therapy. At least this is the way it works where I live. One needs a referral from a physician for physical therapy. Depending on how severe the injury to your head was, an MRI might also be called for.

I had one serious auto accident years ago. It took awhile for things to get back to normal. However, since it's been 2 weeks since your accident I would think either seeing a physician for an initial consult, or going back in for a follow-up would be appropriate. The longer you wait, the more difficult it may become to treat any significant injuries. It is true that sprains & bruises can take a while to resolve. And if that is all you have perhaps it's just a matter of waiting the healing process out. But better to be safe than sorry I would think. I wish you well... Please keep posting!
