Hi, couch.

Worked at CVS yesterday and today. Treated myself to Carrabba's last night after work, and Chili's tonight (since we now close at 6 on weekends). When I was leaving Chili's I saw that they had a gift tree for a local charity that finds homes for neglected and abused children. I picked 2 of the cards to get what the kids wanted. One wanted a life-size lion from Toys'R'Us. So, I got him one. Another kid wanted legos (it specified Duplo type...I guess because he was 4 and might choke on regular legos). When I took that stuff back to Chili's I piked up one more card. This one was a kid who asked for clothes and shoes. That's sad for a kid to ask for things they need rather than want and can have fun with. I feel bad that clothes and shoes would make them happy for Christmas. Instead of getting the kids at school Christmas stuff (like I did at Halloween), I chose to spend the money on the gift tree kids instead. The giant lion plush cost over $100, but I wanted to brighten a kid's Christmas. I know how it feels to forgotten on Christmas and don't want any young kids to experience that. I may go back tomorrow and grab one more if it is still there. I saw one kid wanted a lava lamp. There were very few left on the tree, but most of them wanted things that I had no clue what they were, or I figured I could not find this time of the year. Another 4 year old wanted a Batman costume. A 5 year old wanted a Spiderman costume. I have no clue where to find costumes when it is not Halloween. The lava lamp shouldn't be too hard to find. I think Wal-Mart might have them. If not I will look at Toys-R-Us.
