Sorry to get waaaaaaaaay off topic, but every time I look at the title, "Does the...", my head fills in the words "...lose it's flavor on the bedpost overnight." I have *NO* idea why that little ditty keeps popping in my head!

As far as the cold, I often go into hibernation mode...and being cold for a long time can bring on depression. I think for me, it's almost like a phyical thing...seems like my whole body slows down.

The other thing is, I have real issues with light, so it's hard for me to really separate what happens when I'm cold from my SAD. But I do know that when there is snow on the ground, and everything is so bright from the reflection of the sun on the snow, I feel better, even though it's really cold. So it's probably more light than cold with me.
