I have question is major depression recover totally? As you know it was about one year lasted, and Am I continue to take lexapro 20 mg and give more time than 45 days?
Thanks and advice from ppls who has knowledge.
With meds, it's hard to tell.

In my experience I did not get 50% improved within a year, and I tried many different meds. It may be that adding another antidepressant would help, but I think I would stay on the Lexapro.

Some people do recover from depression. I hope you are among those who do recover. The fact that you got depressed due to a terribly painful experience would make it more likely that you will recover
