So I started therapy again about a month or so ago after about a two year break. After 5 sessions with the therapist I decided it really wasn't going to work and I actually found her kind of annoying and like she didn't get me. Today I saw a new T and she was really great! She uses more of a psychodynamic approach which is something new for me as all my previous Ts used CBT and ACT mostly. It was really nice to not be given a whole bunch of worksheets and to just talk about things. I feel like this new T really understands me and I was more open with her than I have been with any other T in a first session. I'm looking forward to figuring out the causes of some of the issues I have because even after so much time in therapy (2.5 years before I took a break) I still don't really know what is going on with me sometimes.
