I've had terrible problems with my teeth on Seroquel b/c of dry mouth so I told my dentist this week that he should be happy about what is happening b/c I'm going to be on a med that causes over-salivation. He was although he was nice about asking me about what I have to go through to get on it. I'm hoping that Clozaril will stop the multiple fillings per year I've been doing for years.

Have you tried atropine drops for the excess salivation? I read somewhere that this can help although pharmacists will look at you weird since they are normally eye drops. I'd also think cogentin might help the excess salivation and the nighttime incontinence since it is so drying?

Are you glad that you went on it? Have you had other side effects? Have you had weight gain? I'm hoping some of this SEroquel weight will come off and I'd be really happy if it stayed off. My pdoc says she hasn't seen a lot of weight gain on it but I'm not sure how she is defining "a lot". I want none. It would help if I feel better and make meals again but the Seroquel seems to have picked a place that I will weigh and I stay there no matter what.

Sorry for so many questions. I'm really anxious about this based on things I've read online and I know that's not a good idea. I'm not reading online now but the damage is done. (Plus I've failed so many meds that a new one is scary).

Thank you.
