In most partial programs they come around and pick you up, that way all you got a do is get dressed and fall into the van, that part is particularly helpful for me. So is the minimum interaction with others there....it gets better after a while you might find yourself looking forward to the pick up and actually talking.....then you can drop down to outpatient which is less structure. Exactly so--staying home won't work. Though everyone is a patient--with real issues--the interaction between everyone is safe and comforting. It may seem like a progressive high school--without tests--where everyone talks.
I felt the entire staff was kind, supportive, got to know patients by name in the passing periods, and that after an opening period, people are just friends even if they have different psychological issues.
