I live far away from where my family is buried. It was hard for a long time. I felt major guilt. But I keep telling myself "they're not there" and I have to learn to visit them in my heart, which is hard to do because it's still so painful.

A friend told me once that letting balloons go, or planting a tree or flowers is a good way to honor them. On Memorial Day it was also suggested to go to a cemetary and put flowers on a grave that no one visited.
