In the past 20 days, I have half-purged once.
I am not diabetic, but got an A1C test for other reasons. It showed my 3-month history was 5.5 (with normal being 4 - 5.7). That was a jolt of cold water to my face. I'd dumbly thought that since I wasn't gaining weight, everything was ok, despite the ridiculous amounts of junk I was eating/not keeping.
Now all I can think about is the A1C is a lie-detector test. Like Santa, it knows if I've been naughty or nice. So I've gone cold turkey.
Then I wonder, why on earth did I pick the holidays to stop eating sugar? Treats are E V E R Y W H E R E. I even baked and did not put a morsel to my lips.
Is it wrong that I also feel superior to everyone who is indulging?
