(I'm back. Got sidetracked with laundry . . .) I do think my therapist knows and understands me pretty darned well. One of the reasons I knew almost immediately that he was a good fit for me was that even with the little I told him in our first session, he honed in with some very spot-on insight about me right away.
No, he doesn't know "everything" about me because we don't discuss everything about me. But when it comes to the inner workings of my mind and my emotional and mental health, he probably knows me better than anyone (and perhaps better than myself at one time although not now; I finally feel like I actually understand myself).
