My primary medical doctor is gonna kill me! Figuratively speaking, of course. A cut on my leg is infected. It was deep and needed stitches, but due to the SI cause and fact that the numbing shot hurts like a B*, I didn't. There is no redness on the outside, so the pus and infection must be deep inside. Last I heard, the only treatment would be inpatient for IV antibiotics. I sent one of my usual "illegal emails" to my doc right away to tell him and ask him to open up a quick appointment for me online. I don't want to go through the ER. To me it would be better going through my primary doc and being sent there from the office at least. I'll be subject to less judgment that way cause I know he'd talk to them about me. Maybe he won't send me there, but last I heard it sounded like cuts that needed but didn't get stitches and are infected, get treated in-hospital because they are deep and could cause septicemia, which would be very, very bad. Of course. I found out my primary doc's personal home email addy on the internet and sent a "bcc" copy to that address also! <insert devil smile here> That way in case he doesn't check his work email, he will still know I need an "urgent" appointment opened up. Sigh. I know that I'm in trouble now. Whether I get sent to the hospital or not, I'm in trouble. Thank goodness he's got a sense of humor.
