My therapist worked 5 days a week until she had her daughter, then reduced it to 3 days. Now she's back in school to be a nurse practitioner and works 2 days. She is only there u 10-3 both days, so if I want an appointment I need to bend to her schedule, which isn't easy for me. If I needed regular sessions, it would be a hinderance for sure. My pdoc works 5 days November through April and then is off every Friday. His hours vary but it seems like he's there 7 hours on average and sees clients every 20 or 40 minutes. Some Ts have other jobs and do private practice part time. My son's T is a school psychologist and does individual therapy 3 afternoons a week. I have friends that do something similar.
