I totally agree with taking a short term disability. Call your pdoc and ask for an immediate meeting. Tell them you have an emergency. They can help you get the certification you need for a short term disability. Your family Dr. might be able to do it if you don't want your pdoc known to your boss.

Short term was, when I was working, six weeks to three months. It gives you a lot of time to get your meds straighened out and feel less pressured.
