I do not celebrate christmas either. For me, it is the most depressing time of year. My parents are gone. My siblings are scattered across the nation. I cannot afford to take off a whole day from work, unless it is my regular day off. It is painful to me to see/know so many people have real life friends, and I continue to struggle to find just one friend. Presents are definitly not in my budget. Etc, etc.

I do believe in recognizing that the Savior of the world came to be one of us. But, I cannot "get" why buying each other gifts is supposed to show our worship of Him.

Or maybe all this just makes my depression worse.

Life goes on. In about two weeks, this christmas will be forgotten.

(The above was not intended to be snarky. Christmas just depresses me).
