I have some friends, some family. I don't mind seeing them, not even giving them a little gift now and then. I don't mind good food either (although I hate cooking). But I do that through the year. I don't have any set times for when to do this and that. It feels much nicer just arranging to meet like whenever. I always been like that.
Well, I celebrated Xmas as a child but then there were no cooking and no spending money, all there was was getting. And my family didn't drink alcohol either so that was a bonus. Any kid likes getting stuff, LOL. Even if we didn't get nearly as much as kids today do. Which I am happy about. When I was a kid I liked getting cheaper gifts like crayons, paper and books. Also my grandmom was still alive and she made marvellous candy.
Xmas is for kids if anything. I wish we could make it even more kid friendly, then it sure would take stress off of adults. Just giving to kids, not cooking all the stuff kids hate (European thing lol, we eat a ton of dishes at Xmas and kids might like half) and no alcohol.
I have stayed away from the insanity completely this year. (I never celebrate but my friends had me tagging along when they went shopping and stuff like that. Also stayed inside a lot this winter so saw "nothing".)
It's been awesome!
