Choose any developmentally significant period of the lifespan between birth and 80 (the period must span at least two years). First, describe a developmental change in perception, cognition, or language that can be observed during your chosen age period. Second, describe the potential causes of the developmental change as identified by Neurobiologists, Information Processors, Piagetians, Neo-Piagetians, Contextualists, and/or Nativists (choose 3 of the 6). Third, critically evaluate the strength of recent empirical data (post 2000) supporting the case for each of the hypothesized causes.
