I have been taking zoloft and Lamictal for almost 2 years now.

Beginning of December I got into a fight with my wife and walked out. I walked out on everything, wife, grandkids, work, and pets. I spent 4 days sleeping in a yurt at a camp site. It evolved a lot of binge drinking and laying there numb all day.

While I was gone my wife did a lot of reading. She finally accepted that I was bipolar.

I went to a psych, received an initial diagnosis, and a prescription for lithium.

My wife has always been against taking medications. She thought once I was on lithium I would be stopping everything else.

I currently take zoloft, Lamictal, lithium, and doc recently also added seroquel.

Is it common to be on multiple medications to treat bipolar depression?
