Hi SSR,
I had a pdoc rape me so I know a little of your pain. There is an inequality of power inherent in the therapeutic or physician/patient relationship that makes it flat wrong for our kind of abuse to occur. It just pisses me off!

I'm sorry you are suffering. After my experience I decided that I would never again seek help from a male professional. (I'm bound to take some hits on this one. ) I'm not saying that ALL males would act like this either for those of you who are ready to pounce!

I read in another thread that you are considering seeking help from a female T. I think that is a great idea!

If you read the psychotherapy forum you will see how much love and admiration there is for T's and pdocs. I guess that is partly evidence that some people may find our experiences so hard to believe. They could instead think, "There but for the Grace of God, go I."

You take good care. Good idea to stay away from the booze. Never did anybody much good that I could see.
Okie
