We all have our weaknesses, so try not to beat yourself up too hard.

A big tendency that we all struggle with, at one time or another, is overreacting to stress of some kind. Learning how to manage our stress (and our outward reaction) is a BIG accomplishment! So, try to give yourself a break. We've all been where you are at one time or another.
I took DBT 3 times, and just recently graduated with some sense of accomplishment. One of the big things that I learned in DBT was Distress Tolerance. That skill set is truly very helpful in SO many ways!
