I get really excited if my-or, when I worked as a cashier, my customer's-total at the market or thrift shop is a palindrome. And I will share said excitement as though the numbers upon the screen hold the secret to eternal youth. "Look! You're total is the same backwards and forwards." Said I to a woman whose total was $ 10.01. She was not at all amused by this fact, which could only lead me to the conclusion that she was a rather dull person. As was the cashier at the thrift-shop the other day.
There was no point to the story; I simply thought it appropriate to share my own number-related geekiness. I also really prefer to do things by threes.
