There was no point to the story; I simply thought it appropriate to share my own number-related geekiness. I also really prefer to do things by threes.
What, if you wouldn't mind elaborating, is your reasoning behind enjoying the number 2,700 so much?

Like you I like numbers. I would like your palindrome numbers. And you're right. Most other folks don't notice or care. It's not the actual number 2700, it's that I noticed the number when it was exactly 2700, not 2703 or 2697. I don't pay attention to the number of hugs I've given, but the number jumped off the page at me. I'm such a geek about this sort of thing that I pulled off the road and took a picture of my truck's odometer when it read 123,456.
