I didn't exactly intend to set a boundary with one of my former therapists, but it just happened. She offered me a hug once and I shied away from her. It was something that I didn't realize was an issue until that instance. And of course we talked about physical touch and why I was uncomfortable with people being that close to me. But we established that she would always ask me to make sure it was ok and wouldn't just hug me.

I also told that same therapist that I needed her to tell me about her upcoming absences at least a week or two in advance (preferably as soon as she booked her trip - she traveled a lot).
