"Men" don't rape, an individual male rapes. If a guy friend of mine said some men rape because they're horny, I'd believe him since he's a guy and talks to guys. I wouldn't care though "why" the man raped a woman anymore than I'd care why someone murdered another person who had not harmed them. There's no "excuse" or explanation that will make it better/more palatable.
