Those were the days when it was easy as pie to find control panel, program files, c:/ drive, and basically anything else that wasn't on the desktop.
Ever since I think windows Vista I have started having a terrible experience. They are trying to hard to be all futuristic type feel. Remember the joy you experienced when switching from windows 2000/ME to windows Vista? They added the nice blue taskbar with the green start button and default background was the hills with grass.
It was such a simple change and it made all the difference to me. You could click start>program files>yada>yada or start>control panel>uninstall. So easy to use. Now a days when you click start (windows logo I mean) all this useless bull crap comes up and they want me to learn a completely new OS that is ridiculous especially for users who don't care for touch interface/voice controlled future technology like some sort of robot
