I'm about to go back to work after three years unemployed, due to a long dark depressive episode. I've left pretty much every job I ever had due to hypomania. I'm finally on an effective med combo and that's the thing that's allowed me to look for and find a job. I don't know whether you're setting yourself up for disaster, but I understand your concern. I guess I'd ask whether this 11-7 job entails work you're fairly confident you can do well, and doesn't entail a lot of stress. I actually sucked it up and got help from voc rehab, and that has indeed been very helpful, not just with the job search, but because of the reassurance I feel from knowing they will be supporting and tracking me during my first months on the job. Something to consider, especially if you are going to stay undermedicated.
