I've been taking Effexor XR for over 10 years. It works for me too, but if I miss a dose, I get the exact same electrical-type head buzz thing you talk about, especially when I turn my head. If I miss a pill, I also get terrible night sweats and have worse than usual dreams. It's noticeable enough that if I've missed my pill, I can usually tell within 3-4 hours at most.

As far as your other symptoms are concerned, they may not be related to taking Effexor, especially if you've been taking it for 2 years without those symptoms. I agree you should consult with your doctor.
