I have to spend the first 30 days at night in the locked and monitored medical unit. I guess I never knew my condition was this serious but there have been times I was picked up by the police for wandering in the middle of the street at night, and for trying to hit on people walking into Walgreens. I guess this is for the best, but I don't know how I feel about 90 days. They first told me it was 60. My ex-boyfriend wants me to just come live with him and he said he doesn't care about the alters, but I want to be healed. Ugh this is kind of disappointing.

sounds like this place has your best interest and safety at heart,
their primary treatment options are PTSD and trauma, depression\anxiety and addictions. dissociation issues are not their primary focus. they do treat pathological dissociation symptoms. by that it means they treat dissociative symptoms that have developed into a habit. but they do not treat DID, just a guess here but maybe thats why they are setting these strict rules\ boundaries for your stay. may be because they are not a DID treatment facility, their non locked wards \areas may not be equipped to handle something like DID.
here is a link that tells more information on what mental disorders that they do treat and how, maybe this will help put you more at ease with the program....
