My friend who had the heart transplant is going home tomorrow. Just amazes me. He's doing very well.

My son heads to the great town of Abilene tomorrow for auditions for Area choir on Saturday. No telling if he'll actually even get to audition or not though. He's an alternate, and alternates only audition if one of the people above them do not audition for some reason, so the chances or slim. (Kind of like 1st runner up in a beauty pageant, or, as he would say, one of Dante's circles of hell). It would be nice if the stars align right and he gets the opportunity, but he's actually okay with it either way. His directors and private lesson instructor are hoping he gets the chance because they think he'd make it to state given the opportunity. He's a junior though, so next year he has another chance to go through this whole process again.
