And a follow up. I was in remission for 14 years. I worked full time in a highly stressful profession, had a gf(now my wife), we had a social life, I slept every night, I was working on writing projects and generally, it was a good life. Then, in 2004, my sleep began to become unstable and irregular, my mood swings began to re-emerge and by the end of that year, I could no longer work. I found less stressful part time work, was working with a psychiatrist, back on medication roulette, the marriage became more stressful as I started to withdraw from life(and my wife never wanted to learn about bipolar) and the decline, both mental and physical, continues.
