I was so mad I couldn't control my emotions and he got very defensive. He kept asking me questions like if I could kill someone one day! Lmao! I explained how I tend to take my anger out on myself with low self esteem or self harm if I get dysphoric. But also explained that right now, I'm stable. He didn't get it.
And better yet, he said my psych meds just get me high! At one point I had to laugh. The convo got pretty long and heated. Conclusion is, if we're going to have a future I better make sure I'm stable for the rest of my whole life! He asked if his kids should be around me! Like I'm some monster who's going to eat them. Well guess what? His son is coming over for a few days and when he asks me to get out of my room and spend time with them I'm going to pull my blankets up to my chin and say "I can't, my bipolar hurts!"

Everyone is bipolar, huh? Everyone gets their ups and downs, sure, but bipolar is
far more than just that, and the ups and downs are so much more severe that it's not even comparable. I definitely wouldn't be able to handle being in a relationship like that. The people most important to us should of all people be the most supportive and understanding of what we're going through, and not make our struggles seem insignificant. And he's only just now begun to display this sort of ignorance?
