I used to have an interaction with someone like that. Hard as it is, you'll just have to keep trying to cut that tie over and over until it sticks. You deserve better, and she'll never offer that to you consistently. The crumbs she throws your way ultimately don't matter, and don't make up for how she treats you. It's a toxic connection. Once you're free of her, there will be space for someone better to come into your life.
