It probably comes from the fact that Mom was perfect and expected us kids to be perfect too. She drilled into our heads that if it isn't perfect, then we failed and therefore are failers. Her biggest thing was the dishes. I hate dishes to this day. Just the sight of them makes me want to throw up. Anyway I am rambling.
