Perhaps these two verses in Ephisians will help:
<< Ephesians 5 >>
American Standard Version
1 Be ye therefore imitators of God, as beloved children;
2 and walk in love, even as Christ also loved you, and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for as a sweet aroma.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As Christians and imitators of Christ, we don't always make it. Only Christ was perfect. But keeping Him and His love as our goal, it becomes easier.
You've apologized. Whether it's accepted or not is beyond your control. You've done the best that you can. No need to continue a useless argument.
