What types of limitations do you have in the workforce due to your disability? Was studying difficult due to any possible learning disabilities as a result of your permanent disability?
That's unfair to state there's nothingness without a degree. I've known a great deal of people in my lifetime that had more intellectual abilities than some of those that I've known with degrees.
I've known some that went late, workforce experience was necessary to a more well rounded comprehension of courses. Or they didn't find their niche until they gained confidence within themselves as a result of what working brings to self value.
There are some programs in the states (unsure if you are stateside or in a different country) that offer career training for those with disabilities. There's options. If gaining independence is crucial for your emotional well being, perhaps your therapist or case worker can guide you.
