My dogs usually take care of the cat's intestinal challenges so I rarely notice it on my bed (not only do the dogs help out in general - their enthusiastic response to hearing the cat in the beginning hairball ejection stages usually ensures the cat gets knocked off the bed in their eagerness to assist). And when the cats choose places the dogs can't get to, it is usually my briefcase (they love to sleep on my briefcase) that bears the brunt.

And of course - there is the part about my lack of housekeeping skill
