Hello. It's not the act of walking that I hate, it's the intrusive thoughts I get from walking. Every time I see a person or a car, intrusive thoughts pile into my mind. I get terrified and want to run away from it, but I can't. Compulsions don't help and probably make me look more "crazy" than people probably think I am. Walking and seeing people terrify me.
Well, it's mainly when walking by myself that it gets triggered. Or a not as familiar area (like I don't get triggered walking down my school's hallway). But I walk the same route by myself home at least once a week and I get these thoughts all the time.
How do I help myself? Walking for me seems to equal bad intrusive thoughts. Thanks for your response [emoji3].
