I was thinking of changing my allowance on checks now from 3 (sometimes 4) to 2.

I'm dealing with other things now so I'm not exactly making a commitment to it or really acting on it, but I've been trying to rationalize the number 2 and why it might be better. It might be less time consuming, it might be less embarrassing to onlookers to do something twice rather than three times - like it might just look like a double take instead of a ritual. But then I'm having all sorts of issues about how 2 is a duality type of number so that it might not fit for checks - I want to reinforce something not put it in two parts.

So anyway the inner debate is raging on a little bit in my head. I'm not sure if 3 is so ingrained in me or not at this point. Even if it is a bit, might be better to change now rather than later on when it's even more embedded.
