As someone who was socially phobic and very lonely for years I would have liked it.

Computers programmed with personalities have been tested to see if they can keep astronauts company. It works surprisingly well.

Sounds good to me. Being social, happy, smiley, smiley plus the inevitable small talk is so exhausting.
