I'm an RN with bipolar, adult ADD, PTSD, PAD, schzio effective disorder, the most important thing we can do for ourselves is educated ourselves on our illness and medications, ask questions, don't just take a pill because a doc says so, ask why and what side effects or reactions it will have with other meds. personally i think klonopin is a much better medication than valium, it is longer acting and maintains an even level in your blood system than valium and other anti-anxiety agents.
I take adderral 20mg 3x/day - adult ADD
topomax 400mg 2x/day - mood stabilizer/racing thoughts
klonopin 2mg 2x/day - anxiety/panic attacks (2nd dose I take @ nite)
geodon 80mg 2x/day antipsychotic (controls anger sometimes I take both doses @ night because u have to take it with food for it to work and I only eat after i take my night meds)
remeron 45mg @ night - antidepressant also used for sleep
this combination finally works for me for the first time in 8 years.
