Hi there introspectiveme, I can relate to feeling like there is no one to turn to when you are feeling depressed. I went through a similar thing with my father. You may never be able to get through to your mother, but there are people on here (LIKE ME =] who can relate to you and would be happy to listen to whatever you want to get off of your chest.
