Couey was sentenced to die for her murder with three additional life sentences should he somehow escape the death penalty.
Why the family had to sit through almost an entire hour, listening to the judge go through every detail of this horrendous and hanious act is beyond me. Her father was sure courageous, though. His eyes welled up but not one tear fell. My heart went out to him several times and I cried for him. I cried with Jessie's grandmother and a man who appeared to be her granddad.
All the so called "mitigating circumstances" I found to be even more fodder for the fire, more reasons to put this sorry worm's ***** to death!!
