Sounds like a "brain fart" IMHO. Everyone gets them ocasionally. Lol! Dissociative Amnesia is described as loss of memory/time that ia outside of the realm of normal forgetfulness. I hear ya that is can be jarring tho... it's like when you randomly can't remember the name of a song or movie that you have heard/watched many times! I'm not trying to say you don't have some kind of dissociation, tho. I have had many bouts of DA and I also have regular memory loss and forgetfulness too. It took me awhile to sort out which things were due to DD and which were just reg. disconnects.. Until, other ppl started telling me stuff that I had done or how I had acted and some waking up in places or times when I couldn't remember getting there or were the time went...I always believed I had an excellent memory! It has been really frustrating for me to know now that what I thought was a strong suit is unreliable. :/ Hang in there!
