I drive 2.5 hours to see mine. I do live in a very, very rural area so some of that is to be expected. But when I was trying to find someone (13 years ago) I could only find 1 person in the city I lived in then (an hour away) that would accept a bipolar patient. They put me on the waiting list. I'm beginning to think that wasn't true.

Don't throw out pdocs at hospitals. Mine is at a hospital and has a hospital address and does OP along with a lot more drs in that hospital; it's just how that particular hospital works. It's still worth calling to be sure.
