OK, I think I would start by going to school since your class just started & telling them you need the semester off for family reasons & let them know that your mother just died last week. They will understand & give you a semester off to take care of your life & the grieving you need to go through. There is no university that is that cold hearted that they won't understand what you are going through.

Then.....do you have ANY friends of family in the area that can help you? I know that we got a bunch of snow dumped today which makes getting out & handling everything that much more difficult.

PM me if you do need someone IRL to give you a hand. I live south of you less than an hour away. I lost my mom 11 years ago.....just this time of year also.....I understand what you are going through & the emotions are not easy. Too much to even grasp. I was doing all the funeral arrangements from the medical hospital because I ended up so sick because I couldn't handle everything that dumped on me at that time & I wasn't even going to school & trying to take classes.

I am so sorry about the loss of your mom. I know I was in a daze when it happened even though it was expected with the cancer my mother had....but it's NEVER easy even when expected.
