Because of my own experience with stimulants and BP2 I always advise against it. Ten times for substance abusers with a history. However not everyone is the same so I'm not saying they're for sure going to make you manic or are bad. But im prescribed vyvance for binge eating and in all honesty, I do abuse it. The first few times I took it, the come down was so horrible and I got dysphoric for a few days. It was mental agony. In the past I've became manic from quite a few uppers that I abused. So what does one do to avoid the come down? Take more! Yea, I'm stupid. I finish my whole script in 2 wks. One when I'm sharing. As far as the high goes, I do get hyper focused and am glued to my phone the whole duration. And if I'm around people I talk talk talk. My bf hates it. I'm getting a new pdoc tho so who knows, she may take me off it. Probably wouldn't be a bad thing. I've always been sensitive to stimulating meds though. Wellbutrin made me manic too. Everyone's different. If you are prescribed it, take it with caution if you get manic easily and try hard not to abuse it! Good luck
