Reality checks. If you never wonder whether your dreaming or not in real life, you'll never wonder while you're actually in a dream. Your waking mind works the same as your dreaming mind, although your dreaming mind conjures up your habitual thoughts more literally, and you tend to pass off absurd things. Mindfulness and meditation also help to clear and focus your mind so that you don't go racing around from one distracted thought to the next. I'm jealous that you have such vivid dreams, though. Only once in a blue moon do I ever have really vivid, realistic dreams that I can remember.
