Glad you found someone that accepts your insurance. If you want to share, why did you want a male pdoc? I'm always interested in people's preferences. Personally, I always get female doctors even if it is just a dermatologist or something like that, but definately for a T or pdoc. Come to think of it, I always try to get female professionals in general...lawyers, accountants, stuff like that. I think it is a mix of feeling more comfortable and also wanting to support women professionals. Anyway, hope you click with the new pdoc and don't have to start from scratch.

I choose male professionals for everything. Dermatologist, therapist, psychiatrist, primary care dr, and yes, even my gynecologist is male. I even get annoyed when I have to take a class that has a woman professor. I'm sure it has a lot to do with relationship with my mother growing up... (always blame the mother, lol) and my close alignment with my father. I have some female friends that I can connect with. It's interesting because my very 1st T when I was 17, was a female. At this point, I could never even entertain the thought of connecting with a female T or working with a female pdoc.
